Andy Ye loves to code. Besides web development and gaming, he can be seen enjoying a nice bike ride in the park.

Jack Zhou likes building websites and as an avid artist, he pretty much sleeps on canvas.

Jerry Zhou is a programmer and fruit lover. Watermelon is his favorite as it is a 'drink and food' at the same time.

Arthur Cai likes to program interesting things. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and sleeping.

Andrew Kumar likes to play terraria and hang out with friends. He enjoys playing chess and is very interested in the world of business.

Monish is an imaginative individual with a passion for art and science. He became a valued member of the Gnomon team in September 2023, contributing his creative insights and collaborating closely with our tutors to enhance their teaching methods. He is one of the leaders for his school's Aerial Robotics Team and enjoys coding.

Vrishank Ramnath loves to play chess. He is currently on the varsity team for Neuqua Valley's Chess Team and also plays the violin.

Dheeraj Thota is a passionate, tenacious, innovative, and cordial student at Waubonsie Valley High School. He is a top-tier performer in both academics and extracurriculars. He is very involved in DECA, in which he qualified for the International Career Development Conference in his first year by placing first in Illinois at the Stock Market Game event. He also is very involved in Science Olympiad, in which he served as the 8th Grade Varsity Science Olympiad Captain, and has medalled in Science Olympiad Regional Competitions 7 Times. He loves to take initiative and help others learn, grow, and improve as a student and as a person. He has done countless hours of volunteer work, is a peer tutor, and the organizer of several student academic help groups. Outside of school and helping others, Dheeraj Thota collects and researches rare and exotic plants, and plays Tennis, Basketball, Cricket, and the Violin.

Elena Sung is apart of the class of 2024 at Spackenkill High School. She is a passionate physics enthusiast and is currently researching with Dr. Wang on the LZ experiment. Elena tutors elementary students on reading, writing, and math. She is apart of computer club at her school and competes at programming competitions. Elena is eager to help Gnomon Learning continually grow as a platform to aid students in their academics.

Edward Chen is a graduate of the class of 2022 at Mehta Valley High School. He is a part of Mehta's varsity soccer team, and enjoys coding in his free time. Edward is excited about using Gnomon as a platform to spread student-run computer science courses.

Janani Harish is a junior at American High School in Fremont, CA. Janani is a part of the class of 2024 and is passionate about STEM particularly in the fields of chemistry, psychology and neuroscience. She is also proficient and competes in national level martial arts competitions and does a lot of volunteering work with immunocompromised pediatric transplant patients and hospital patients in general as well as teaching and working with underprivileged students around her. She is very active in medical research in areas such as non-small lung cancer and beta thalassemia. She is very excited and enthusiastic about using Gnomon Learning as a platform to empower and spread quality computer science education to people in her community.

Pearl is a junior at the College Preparatory School of Oakland. She loves to write, and she's a section editor for her school newspaper, also helping to run their social media accounts. Another passion of hers is in science, mainly biology. She was a junior ambassador for the Ponce Inlet Marine Science Center and took a class on Psychology at Harvard this past summer. Finally, she's team captain of her school's JV volleyball team and loves to play whenever she can. Pearl looks forward to getting started at Gnomon Learning!!!

Rayaan Talha is a senior at Neuqua Valley High School. Has knowledge in multiple computing languages: Java, Python, and SQL. He is very proficient in math and physics and excited to help out other students!

Fabriciana De Soriano is a class of 2023 UX/UI designer and full-stack developer in New York City. She is a programmer and software developer with proficiency in a myriad of both front and back-end languages, and has 7+ years of computer science experience. Fabriciana has competed in various hackathons and has collaborated with professional professionals within educational organizations, such as Upperline Code and Flatiron School. In addition, she has experience creating curriculum and making topics in CS and AI/Machine learning more accessible in partnership with nonprofit organizations to underserved middle and upper school students in urban communities, and is passionate about streamlining STEM opportunities to students in need.

Nishna Aerabati is a part of the class of 2024 at the Illinois Math and Science Academy. She is fluent in Python, and helps with Gnomon Learning outreach program.

Monish Murali is a current student at Neuqua Valley High School. An avid violinist, Monish has qualified for the Illinois Music Education Association's District and All-State Conferences and is a violinist for the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra. When he is not practicing his instrument, Monish is a member of his school's Math Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta) and Computing Team. He has experience teaching a variety of math courses, such as AP Calculus AB/BC & AP Statistics, and is proficient in front-end web development using HTML/CSS. Monish is excited to be a part of Gnomon Learning mission of providing accessible education and helping students achieve their greatest potential.

Srihari is an easygoing and hard working student at the Illinois Math and Science Academy. He enjoys school very much, as well as sports. He was a nationally ranked middle school quiz bowl player, and served as the Varsity Captain in his 8th grade year. However, after playing his first year of high school quizbowl online, he lost his interest. He also served as the Varsity Captain of his middle school's math team, helping them go to state. He currently plays varsity soccer, but enjoys basketball and cricket a lot in his free time. In school, he's a board member of an entrepreneurship program, as well as Mock Trial. He also enjoys going to the gym, which he picked up in early 2022. In the coming years, he hopes to build himself up and determine his goals for the next stages of life.

Hello, I'm Fanning. I'm responsible for tutoring, and I live in France. In terms of anything related to IT, I don't have much to say about myself. I'm an aviation and World War II history enthusiast who only has limited knowledge in Python, HTML and CSS. However, that doesn't stop me from helping out with advertising as well as simple suggestions and feedback. If you're worried about not being very into IT or doesn't feel qualified to be here, don't worry. We're in the same boat together.

Rohan Vaish is currently a Senior at Neuqua Valley High School. He has always had a passion for learning as well as teaching others. He enjoys playing percussion and is a member of The Wind Ensemble as well as the Marching Wildcats. He also plays on the school chess team as well as the tennis team.

Ben Zhao loves to solve Rubik's cubes, play chess, and write music. He enjoys math and physics, and also excels in social studies.

Matthew Lee is a part of the state tennis team at Neuqua Valley High School, and is heavily involved with his community. He was a founding member of NoPersonGoneHungry, an organization which raised over $3000 for food insecurity. His latest organized community food drive raised over +700 pounds of food! Matthew is also passionate about choir; knowing how music can bring people together, he volunteers extensively at choir events that sing for free. Through Gnomon Learning, Matthew is excited about using his volunteer experience to expand access to quality computer science education for free.

Brian Li is a current student at Neuqua Valley Highschool who has honorary experience in the competitive STEM field, especially computer science. In his free time, Brian loves playing various sports including volleyball. He loves variety and is willing to even play sports he has never tried before. Brian has helped tutor kids in competitive math along with Canchen, and also helped volunteer at a STEM summer camp for middle schoolers. Brian is excited to use his skills for the growth and improvement of this website in order to accomplish its goal of accessible education.

Anish Basety is a dedicated individual who has a strong passion for both physics and computer science. In addition to his enthusiasm for these subjects, he also owns several non-profit organizations that are focused on debate and tutoring. Anish has gained valuable experience through his internship at a Fortune Global 100 company. At his school, he is actively involved in both a business club and a physics club, where he participates in international competitions related to these fields. Anish s eagerness to assist students in their academic pursuits is evident in his desire to contribute to the continuous growth of Gnomon Learning as a platform.

Joshua Kim is a part of the class of 2024 at Neuqua Valley High School. He is talented at math, having scored straight As in Honors Algebra Two, Honors Pre Calc and AP Calc BC, and is a heavily involved member at Neuqua's Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society. Joshua is also passionate about helping out Neuqua's community, being a member of the UNICEF club and Asian Student Alliance. Outside of the classroom, Joshua is a talented black belt taekwondo martial artist (highest level possible), and loves to draw with various mediums ranging from watercolor to oils in his free time. Joshua is involved in furthering Gnomon Learning outreach through social media and is helping to shape the organization to be not just another resource center, but an active peer-tutoring platform.

Kyle Zeng is a part of the class of 2024 at Neuqua Valley High School and enjoys browsing sagacious Wikipedia articles and reading 'Old Stories' on trivia, arts, and history. His greatest passion is the discovery of not just the results but the METHOD of solving problems. An experienced violinist, he has been playing for a total of over 10 years, making ILMEA on multiple occasions. He has several years of experience in Java, and is currently taking AP Computer Science A with Mr. Gambino at Neuqua. Kyle is extremely excited to be a part of Gnomon Learning to spread the joy of learning computer science.
